Patti Colen is a Canadian fibre artist who uses traditional fibre techniques with a contemporary twist to tell stories about the world around her. Her love of documentary photography and observation of the human condition influences her work, often focusing on relationships, society’s treatment of marginalized populations and the current state of the world.

A fibre enthusiast since childhood, embracing all forms of handwork, Patti has focused her creative energy into storytelling through contemporary rug hooking since her retirement from healthcare in 2016. She lives in London ON with her husband, three pups and a kitty who rules them all.
